Academic Committees
The Faculty Senate has twenty one standing academic committees that deal with issues ranging from academic policies and faculty welfare to teaching effectiveness. All faculty are encouraged to participate on these committees.

Appellate Committees
The Faculty Senate has five standing appellate committees that deal with discharge, imposition of serious sanction, employment status, instructional relationship, implementation of governance procedures, sexual, racial, or ethnic harassment or discrimination or conflict of interest, non-reappointment and non-conferral of permanent tenure.

Dissolved Academic Committees
In the Spring of 2001, the Faculty Senate chose to dissolve several academic committees and combine their various tasks with other standing committees of the Senate. Information about these dissolved committees is included here for reference.
