Scholarships for Honors Students


Scholarships range in the amount of $500.00 to $1,000.00. (The availability of these scholarships is contingent upon funding received by the Honors Program each year.)
 
Award Eligibility Criteria
Academic Commitment Junior, Senior Most significant increase in GPA measured over last complete academic year (2 semesters).
Gay Wilentz Service Award Sophomore, Junior, Senior Given in honor of Dr. Gay Wilentz, community involvement and service beyond requirements of program, significant impact to served agency or community.
Academic Leadership Sophomore, Junior, Senior Demonstrated initiative, openness to new ideas and concepts and a drive to succeed as evidenced in most Honors seminars completed, most diverse curriculum taken, and most co-curricular programs attended.
Outstanding Senior Honors Project Seniors only One award in sciences, one in humanities/social science.
Outstanding Honors Student Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior Using criteria for Phi Kappa Phi, most overall involvement and achievement
Honors Independent Study Junior, Senior Most educationally enriching concepts and application.
Expanded Horizons Sophomore, Junior, Senior Honors Student studying abroad.
Senior University Honors Project Grants Seniors Assist in completion of a Senior Honors Project for Seniors eligible to graduate with University Honors.
