Preferential consideration will be given to students who have made application to and have been accepted by the College of Business of East Carolina University by June 1 for Fall semester enrollment and by August 15 for Spring semester enrollment.
Students must remain continually enrolled full-time taking at least nine graduate credit hours per semester and must be making satisfactory progress toward the completion of his or her degree to retain the scholarship. Students dropping to less than full-time or other changes in eligibility must be discussed prior to the change with the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs.

All Graduate Business Student Scholarships will be reviewed by the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs and the Associate Dean for the College of Business.
If you are awarded a Graduate Business Student Scholarship:
Please email your advisor before registration each semester and let them know if you intend to be a DE or a campus-based student. This is particularly important for summer sessions.
The amount of your award may not show up on your tuition statement. It is typically applied to your account after the statements are mailed.
Please check the status of your scholarship with the Cashier’s Office (cashier@ecu.edu; 252-328-6886) before the tuition deadline each semester. Please contact Anne Bogey in Professional Programs (bogeya@ecu.edu; 252-328-4396) if you experience problems with the application of your scholarship money. This will help prevent your schedule being dropped for non-payment.
Please note that any excess funds are not distributed until at least three weeks into the semester.
