Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences is East Carolina University's most diverse academic unit, offering study in fifteen disciplines and sixteen interdisciplinary programs that comprise the liberal arts.  These disciplines and programs range widely across the spectrum of human knowledge and include the natural sciences and mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. Liberal arts majors remain in close touch with the past but look constantly into an ever-expanding future. Harriot College offers rich traditions and broad horizons, readying graduates for personal growth, community engagement, and rewarding careers.

The faculty and staff within the College want you to be successful. There are a number of resources available that can help, both inside and outside of the College. Many of these resources are linked from the navagation menu to the left. There are many other resources available at ECU, so if you need assistance then be sure to seek it out. Your advisor or a faculty member are good first contacts for information.
