Your ultimate resource guide! This booklet describes services that are available to students, faculty, and staff occupying the Health Sciences Building. These services are in addition to services provided on east campus such as the Cashier’s Office, Bookstore, Student Health Center, Mendenhall Student Center, and Recreation Center. We hope these services are helpful to you throughout your academic career.

The mission of the East Carolina University Academic Advising Collaborative is to guide, serve and support students by partnering with academic departments and support services, to promote diverse educational experiences, and to foster professional success and responsible citizenship.
Scholarships Available to Students of the College of Allied Health Sciences
The scholarships listed in this section are awarded to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students admitted to the College of Allied Health Sciences. The East Carolina University Office of Student Financial Aid assists students in obtaining funds from other sources best suited for the individual's need.
Student Code of Conduct
All CAHS students are expected to be familiar with their department policies and professional code of ethics and to conduct themselves in accordance with these standards.
Academic Support and Enrichment Center
The primary mission of the ASEC is to maximize the academic success, personal and professional development and graduation of medical, nursing and allied health students while emphasizing service to minority and disadvantaged students. To achieve this mission the staff of ASEC recruits and supports all pre-health students at the undergraduate level and provides group and individual academic counseling for medical, nursing and health science students. ASEC faculty members serve as change agents and as resources regarding multiculturalism and diversity. The mission is focused on supporting the missions of East Carolina University, the College of Nursing, the Division of Health Sciences, and the Brody School of Medicine.
Personal Counseling Center
The Personal Counseling Center (PCC) at East Carolina University seeks to provide the students of the Division of Health Sciences with confidential counseling and psychiatric services designed to assess sources of stress, facilitate personal and academic growth, develop improved coping strategies, and serve as an advocacy service for students. PCC also provides outreach programs and consultation services to students, faculty and staff, classroom teaching, and training.
Student Professional Development/Career Services
Student Professional Development provides workshops, programs, and opportunities for students that facilitate career exploration, practical work experience, and professional development. Comprehensive technology and available resources enable us to increase quality service delivery to students who will become the employees of choice upon completion of their University degree.
