Code of Conduct

The Brody School of Medicine is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations in an ethical and law-abiding fashion.  We are intolerant of fraud, abuse, waste, or other violations of any applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations. The Brody School of Medicine has implemented a Code of Conduct that provides guiding standards for our decisions and actions as members of the School of Medicine community (faculty, staff, residents, students, trainees, and contracted employees).  Although the Code can neither cover every situation in the daily conduct of our activities nor substitute for individual judgment or personal integrity, it is the duty of each member of our community to adhere, without exception, to the principles set forth in the BSOM Code of Conduct.

New Hire Attestation:
All newly hired faculty, staff, and agents of the Brody School of Medicine are required to read the Code of Conduct and sign an attestation.

Annual Attestation:
At the beginning of each fiscal year, all faculty, staff and agents of the BSOM are required to sign an annual attestation to the Code of Conduct.

Code of Conduct Confirmation:
At the beginning of each fiscal year, each department chair is required to submit a Confirmation of Receipt to the Office of Compliance stating that all faculty, staff and agents within the department have read and signed the annual attestation.
