Dr. Melissa Engleman has been a faculty member in the Department of Special Education since 1990. Prior to that year, she completed her doctorate at the University of Kansas. Her interests have been diverse: With David Powers, she co-founded the Assistive Technology Laboratory, and later developed the masters program in low-incidence disabilities. Her research is currently focused on applying effective distance education teaching techniques on the internet to graduate programs.
