Dr. Karen Voytecki's primary research areas are secondary education for students with emotional/behavior disorders and/or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory integrative approaches to instruction and classroom management, postsecondary educational and career goals of students with disabilities, teacher-researcher collaborative partnerships, and single-subject design intervention research. The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) recognized her innovation in the classroom with the prestigious 2001 Clarissa Hug International Teacher of the Year award.
