Ms.Tucker became the first director of the Academic Advising Center for the College of Health and Human Performance.  She believes that “having the advising center in the college is essential for student recruitment and retention. It provides a specific office where students can receive assistance.  It is important that students know they have a “home” until they are ready to declare a major.  Once declared, students are assigned to a major advisor within their specific department of the college for continued advisement and movement toward graduation.”
