In celebration of the Centennial at East Carolina University located in beautiful Greenville, North Carolina, the College of Health and Human Performance (HHP) invites the submission of original artistic interpretations of the mission and activities of the College for a juried art contest.  

The contest is co-sponsored by Dr. Dennis Ross of Ross Orthodontics, Greenville, NC and Mr. Don Edwards, President and owner of University Book Exchange (UBE), Greenville, NC.

All entries must be 22" x 30" or 22" x 28" and able to be rolled into a mailing tube. Initial screening of entries will be conducted by viewing digital photographs of the art that entrants have submitted electronically.

The College welcomes submissions of original visual art from artists in one of two categories:  YOUTH (aged 14 to 17 years) and ADULT (aged 18 years and older).

This juried art contest offers 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes in both Youth and Adult categories.  

    1st place:  $1000
    2nd place: $ 500
    3rd place:  $ 250

DEADLINE for submissions of digital photographs of the artist’s original visual art depicting the mission and activities of the College of Health and Human Performance is June 1, 2008.  Parental/legal guardian permission for contest participation is required for artists in the youth category.
