ACE

What is ACE?
ACE stands for Academic Computing Environment. This program is designed to help students make informed decisions when purchasing a computer for college and to help ensure that the computer continues to work properly. ACE coordinates with academic departments to identify what models meet departmental requirements and recommendations, negotiate affordable pricing with vendors, and most importantly, ACE provides on-campus technical support for ECU students free of charge.

Bear in mind, however, that only those computers purchased through the ECU Dowdy Student Stores in conjunction with the ACE program will receive the full-scale support benefits provided by the ACE program. Non-ACE computers will receive limited software support and no hardware support, though consulting remains available.

You can learn about your academic major's computing requirements through the Department Computer Requirements. Please view the ACE Web site for additional information or contact David Creech at 252-737-1241 or creechd@ecu.edu. If your computer needs to be serviced please visit the ACE Support Center in the Rawl Building, room 108.
