Core Server

What is the Core Server?
Faculty and staff can use this server to host classroom materials such as their syllabus for each class or supplemental reading material.

The Core server (core.ecu.edu) is available for university related files in any formats.

Get Started
Go to help.ecu.edu >> Submit Online Request. Here you will find the Core Web Space Request located in the Online Forms section on the left.

The easiest way to access the folders is through a mapped network drive at
\\cf1\coreprod
\\cf1\secure
\\cf2\coretest

To map a network drive:
Right click on "my computer" and select "explore"
Within Windows Explorer, right click on "my computer" in the left pane and select "map network drive"
Choose a drive letter or you can just use the default letter.
In the "folder" field, type in the path to your folder: \\cf1\coreprod\subsite
Check the box that says "reconnect at logon" so this drive will automatically appear each time you reboot your PC. You do the same for each of your folders.

Your url will look like this in your web browser:
(core) http://core.ecu.edu/subsite/filename
(secure) https://core.ecu.edu/subsite/filename
(coretest) http://coretest.ecu.edu/subsite/filename

You can also FTP to the servers using the following addresses
CF1(coreprod) –  core.ecu.edu
CF1(secure)  -  core.ecu.edu
CF2(coretest) -  coretest.ecu.edu

FTP paths
CF1 – Coreprod - core1/docs/subsite
CF1 - Secure   - secure/docs/subsite
CF2 - Coretest - core2/docs/subsite
