Guest Login - Internet Access

Who does ECU consider as a guest?
ECU guests can range from vendors, guests in the residence halls and others.

Get Started

1. First contact the person you are visiting and request network access
   
   
2. ECU Faculty/Staff request the current password from http://provision.ecu.edu/requestpass.asp
   Notes: Login with PirateID and password 
   (Access restricted to Full time Faculty/Staff)
   
   
3. Depending on type of Access Wireless or Wired and location East or West Campus 

   Wireless on East Campus

   1. Open web browser and surf to any site
   2. Connect2ECU login will display
   3. Username: ECUGuest 
      (must be typed exactly as shown, case is important)
   4. password from step 2
   5. Select Provider Visitor
   6. Press Continue

   Wired (East and West Campus), Wireless on West Campus

   1. Open web browser and surf to http://provision.ecu.edu
   2. Select Self Register Computer (Requires PirateID)
   3. Select I agree, Continue IP Registration (ECU PirateID
       Required)
   4. Logon with Username: Visitor
   5. Password from step 2
   6. Press submit (Note: User doesn't need to select anything
       on this screen.)
   7. For simplicity, reboot, however Windows users
      1. open a command prompt
      2. Type ipconfig /flushdns (enter)
      3. Type ipconfig /release (enter)
      4. Type ipconfig /renew (enter)

             Mac OSX 4.6 and greater 

              1. Click Apple
              2. Select System Preferences
              3. Click Network
              4. Click Renew DHCP Lease

           Note: All others reboot, visitor may need to clear web browser cache 

Registrations using the Visitor password are automatically deleted daily at midnight.
