  Offers some of the most comprehensive, in-depth information on indoor air quality available online.  The reports, articles and statistics featured here have been compiled based on studies conducted in AQS laboratories, knowledge gathered from AQS experience in the field, research and scientific literature surveys, and AQS extensive database of pollutants and sources.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

Provides a complete framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainability goals.  Based on well-founded scientific standards, LEED emphasizes state of the art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.  See Rating Systems.

EPA EPP (Environmental Protection Agency – Environmentally Preferable Purchasing)

Comprehensive series of manufacturers' bound catalogs with product overviews, photos, illustrations, 3-Part Specs and other information needed to compare and select products.

Sweet’s Product Catalog Search Online  : 1,800 building product catalog available in PDF format.  You must register with the site, but it’s free.

Sweets Directory Online  A good place to start your preliminary product research.  You can search more than 10,700 manufacturers, with 61,300 products represented.

Codes Guidebook for Interiors(REF KF 5701 H37 2001)

Focuses on codes that affect interior projects. Describes and discusses codes, standards, and federal regulations used throughout the country. Includes a glossary and a bibliography arranged by topic.                


Finding Articles:

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals:  offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions on subjects such as the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation, and interior design and decoration. IEEE Xplore Provides full-text access to IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers) transactions, journals, magazines and conference proceedings published since 1988 plus select content back to 1950, and all current IEEE Standards. IEEE and IEE publish primarily in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science.

LexisNexis Environmental: provides access to a comprehensive collection of environmental sources and documents, including:  Environmental Abstracts, New, Journals & Commentary, Codes & Regulations, Case Law & Agency Actions, Waste & Materials.

Proquest Research Library:  contains over 2,600 periodicals in a wide range of subject areas. The database consists of two components: the core list, containing 800 periodicals, and 15 subject-specific modules that supplement the core list by providing additional titles in the following areas: Arts, Business, Children, Education, General Interest, Health, Humanities, International, Law, Military, Multicultural, Psychology, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Women's Interests. The core and subject modules are combined so users can seamlessly search all selected modules simultaneously. The Research Library includes PA Research II, plus additional sources. Searches can be restricted to peer-reviewed journals

If It's Not Full Text: Serials Solutions

This new software will help you find out whether the library has a print or electronic copy of an article from some databases. When you choose a citation from among your results, click on the  button to generate a menu of options. Listed at the top are any databases which will lead you to an electronic copy. Further down the list is a link leading to the Joyner catalog, for you to search for print copies.

Citation Linker: If you already have a citation from someone else’s bibliography and want to find out if we have that article, key it into the Citation Linker.  When you click the Find IT! button at the bottom of the page, you will generate a menu of options that works like the one described above.
