What is the construction cost?
An estimate $26 million. This is a joint project with Ledonia Wright Cultural Center.
Student Activities & Major Events (SAME)
Will the Student Union still show movies?
Yes, the Student Union Programming Board will continue to offer free movies for students. Students will be able to pick up movie coupons on select nights of the week and see movies for free at the Greenville Grande located on Memorial Blvd in Greenville.
Will students still be able to go bowling when Mendenhall is under construction?
Yes. On select nights throughout the semester AMF Bowling located in Greenville will be rented out for ECU Bowling nights.
Will it cost the same as it costs at Mendenhall?
On the selected nights that bowling is at AMF Bowling Lanes, bowling will be free to students.
How will we get to enjoy bands and other live entertainment with Mendenhall closed?
Although Mendenhall will be closed for renovation, activities will continue to occur in other locations around campus. Please refer to this website for information. Other sources of information will include Student Announce, posters, RAs, etc. to learn about the various events and their locations around campus.
Where will the Student Union Programming Board (SUPB) hold its meetings?
SUPB will be able to work with the Events Planning Office to find space on the ECU campus to hold its meetings while Mendenhall is under construction.
Where will SUPB committees hold meetings?
There will be a small conference room located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2. Small groups of no more then 8 people can reserve this conference room by communicating with the “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 Receptionist.
How do I find the SAME office and the Student Union Programming Board office?
Both offices will be located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 which is located in the ECU B1 parking lot directly across the street from McDonalds and Sheets.

Where will Congress hold its meetings?
Congress will be able to work with the Events Planning Office to find space on the ECU campus to hold its meetings while Mendenhall is under construction.
Where will the SGA be able to hold small group meetings?
There is a small conference room located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2. Small groups of no more then 8 people can reserve this conference room by communicating with the “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 Receptionist.
How do I find the SGA Office?
The SGA Office will be located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 which is located in the ECU B1 parking lot directly across the street from McDonalds and Sheets.
Student Organization Center (SOC)
Will my organization still have a mailbox?
If your organization is registered for the year, yes! All registered student organizations will have provided a mailbox located in the SOC.
Will my organization still be able to make photocopies, make posters, and laminate documents as provided to all registered organizations through the SOC?
Yes, all registered organizations will still receive the same services that they currently receive from the SOC.
Where will my organization be able to hold meetings?
There will be a small conference room located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2. Small groups of no more then 8 people can reserve this conference room by communicating with the “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 Receptionist. If your organization needs a larger space the Events Planning Office will work with you to find space on the ECU campus while Mendenhall is under construction.
Will I still be able to receive financial advisement regarding my organization’s finances?
Yes, the Student Organization Fund Office located in the Student Organization Center will still provide the same services it always has.
How do I find the SOC?
The SOC will be located in “Mini Mendenhall West” modular unit #2 which is located in the ECU B1 parking lot directly across the street from McDonalds and Sheets.
Where will I go to get tickets for arts, events, and for student football game ticket pick-up?
The Central Ticket Office will be located in a "Mini Mendenhall" modular unit which will be located in the ECU-B1 parking lot across the street from McDonalds and Sheetz.
